Welcome

how I can help you

  • I help you soar because I thrive in the weeds (the land of details) leaving you free to do the things that make you happy. I'm a calm, reliable person who enjoys helping others succeed by focusing on the details most folks find boring.

  • I'll listen to you, then propose solutions so you don't use your valuable time learning about services you might not need.

  • I will help you communicate with other accounting and tax professionals because I know accounting principles and jargon. I'll help you understand what financial information is required, in terms you can understand. I worked in a tax accounting office for three years and I took the first few levels of the same courses as chartered accountants. I understand the reason why processes, standards, and principles exist and need to be followed.

  • I work fast, saving you time and money because I love typing numbers, completing tasks, meeting deadlines, submitting reports, using checklists, etc. I know what works and have effective ways to implement the solutions because the business routines and processes learned over my 30-year career in finance and administration roles are second nature.

Why Us?

Understanding accounting services: a few key terms

bookkeeping

It's recording financial transactions using source documents, and is part of the process of accounting in business and other organizations. It involves gathering source documents for all transactions, operations, and other events of a business.  It is also known as 'compliance work.' It does not include asking repeatedly for those documents.

source documents

The information traditionally found at the bottom of a purse or on the dashboard of a truck: receipts, bills, invoices, statements, cheques--anything that documents a transaction involving spending or receiving money.

compliance

Following the laws, regulations, and standards that apply to financial reporting. It involves knowing the procedures for recording and verifying all financial transactions, such as revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities. Knowing the rules is invaluable should your firm be audited.
